At Boeing and General Motors and Microsoft, at the end of the production line, you’ll find a salesperson. Sales is the blood and bone and muscle of this country. Ultimately, it pays the taxes and the health insurance and provides a livelihood for millions. It is the sun that powers the ecosystem of the American Dream. From Girl Scout cookies to million-dollar homes, it has also been the focus of my entire professional life, culminating several years ago in my decision to become a Realtor with John L. Scott, Vashon.

For almost everyone, their homes are the biggest investment they will ever make, a safe haven from the outside world, and the sense of place in their lives. As a Realtor, I am keenly aware that I am participating not only in one of the core engines of business, but in the core events of peoples lives, and helping make dreams come true. No other activity in my life has even approached the sense of accomplishment and pride I derive from this. Being an agent is not only my source of income, it has come to define my sense of identity and become my source of satisfaction in life.

Part of being a Realtor is understanding the local community, and I find the best way to achieve this is by participation. I have been the Strawberry Festival Grand Parade Coordinator for five years, I donate heavily and participate in VIPP events, I am a member of the Chamber of Commerce, I donate and sponsor Vashon Allied Arts events, and I recently joined Kiwanis and I am on track to becoming a Kiwanis club officer. By participating in the community I not only help better the community, but what I learn from the community invariably enables me to better serve my clients. In this way, I have come to understand that I gain by giving. Trite and simplistic it may be; it is also true.

I am a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), Accredited Representative for both buyers and sellers (ABR & ASR), an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS), and I am a member of the Council of Certified Residential Specialists (CRS). I’m a full time, client-centric agent, and I take professional coursework continuously to keep myself fresh and on top of the marketplace in order to better service my client's needs.
