I moved to the Sequim-Dungeness Valley in April of 1987.  I love this area for many reasons.  It is a safe community and attracts many people from all parts of the country.  Therefore it is a diverse mix of folks that have found Sequim to be a great place to retire.  Nestled in a valley between the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca Sequim boasts a history of low rain fall.  Average is between 14" and 16".  Pilots refer to Sequim as the "blue hole" because on a cloudy NW day Sequim often parts the clouds and has sunshine.
