1. To view property details, click on the red arrow icon next to a property in the Favorites List. Click on the arrow again to minimize property details.

2. There are many clickable action items on the Favorites List. For example, the magnifying glass icon opens the property on the interactive map and the category name re-sorts the properties by category.

Posts
Posts are a way to communicate with 'Friends' and receive property information. There are three different types of Posts in JLSconnect^TM Beta:

• General Posts are non-property specific posts
• Property Comments are Posts tied to specifc properties
• System Posts are property updates and account notifications posted by JLSconnect

1. Click on the Posts button at the top of the screen to access the Posts page. All sent and received posts are available on this page.

2. Click on the yellow message balloon icon at the top of the Posts page or above the Favorites List to add a new post.

3. Type your message in the pop-up window and click Save.

Tips:

• Property-specific posts display the property’s main photo and a red arrow icon to open the property details.
• Your posts can be edited by clicking on the Edit icon.
• When a property in your Favorites List is selected, all Posts tied to that property are brought into view.
• Posts can be deleted by clicking on the trash bin icon.

Friends
Contributors to your JLSconnect account who can view your Favorites List, rate properties, recommend properties and post messages to your account. Friends are selected from your contacts list in Microsoft Live Contacts (Hotmail contacts). 

1. To access the ‘Friends’ page click on the Friends button at the top of the screen. All of your added ‘Friends’ are shown on this page.

2. To add a ‘Friend’, click on the add friend icon at the top of the Friends page or above the Favorites List.

3. Select a Window Live ID from the drop-down list which contains contacts from your Microsoft Live Contacts list. Added friends will receive an invitation email and they must use their Live ID to sign in.

4. Assign a role to each friend using the drop-down menu. Role descriptions are provided on the pop-up window. Then click Add.

Tips:

• The green indicator next to a friend’s name means that they are online (Windows Live Presence service).
• A friend must be added to your contacts list in Microsoft Live Contacts before you will be able to invite them to be a ‘Friend’ in JLSconnect^TM Beta.

Categories
Virtual folders for organizing saved properties in your Favorites List.

Categories are for organizing saved properties. There are three default categories for all users: 1) Favorite Properties, 2) Suggested Properties and 3) Recycle Bin. Users can add and manage an unlimited number of additional categories.

1. To add and manage categories, click on the Categories button at the top of the screen.

2. To add a new category, click on the File Folder icon at the top of the Categories page or above the Favorites List.

3. To edit or delete a category, click on the Edit or Trash Bin icons next to a category name.

4. To move a property into a category, click on the File Folder icon in the information box for any property in the Favorites List.

Tip:

• Default categories (Favorites List, Recycle Bin and Suggested Properties) cannot be deleted, but the names can be changed.

Interactive Map
A powerful search tool for finding and adding properties to your Favorites List.

1. To view the Interactive Map click on the Map button at the top of the screen.

2. Saved properties are displayed as yellow star icons on the map. Hovering your mouse over any of the star icons will expand property information.

3. To search click on the Search for More Properties button at the top of the Map page.

4. To add properties move your mouse over a property (shown as house icons) on the interactive map. Then click on the Save to Favorites link in the fly-out property information box.

Slide Show
An animated gallery for viewing property photos in JLSconnect^TM Beta.

1. To view property photos, click on the camera icon which is next to any property on the Favorites List. The slide show plays to the left of the Favorites List.

2. The controls to manually transition the photos are located at the bottom on the slideshow screen.

3. Photos can be moved around and made smaller or larger by clicking and dragging the outside order of any photo on the slide show screen.

Tip:

• Only the main photo is available for Sold properties.
