Albany is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley just 44 miles north of Eugene, 69 miles south of Portland and 24 miles south of Salem. Nestled between the Coast and the Cascade Mountains allows an easy drive to Ocean beaches or snow covered slopes.  I-5 Exits to Albany include 228, 233, 234A and 234B.

1^st Weekend in August - Great Balloon Escape & Wine fest.  Over 30 hot air balloons fill the sky in early morning ascensions, an exciting Night Glow and wine fest featuring some of Oregon’s finest wines, entertainment, crafts and food. 

Nov 11 - Veteran’s Day Parade– one of the nations’ largest Veterans day celebrations.

December – Victorian Christmas Celebration.  Step back in time for this romantic holiday celebration.  Costumed shopkeepers, horse-drawn carriage rides, Volksmarch, evening hay-wagon caroling tours, and Victorian house tours bring back the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas.

December – Christmas Story book land.  Walk through a display of miniature storybook scenes at the Linn county Fairgrounds.
