Lake Oswego

Located less than 10 miles south of Portland, Lake Oswego boasts many unique communities and parks surrounding its namesake. Tree lined pathways on the recreational loop connect local neighborhoods, schools, and commercial belts for pedestrians and cyclists.

An idyllic mainly residential community, Lake Oswego offers a wide variety of recreational activities, including a municipal golf course and an indoor tennis center.    There are two resident swim parks with lifeguards on duty throughout the summer.  Residents with boat easements on their property can enjoy boating on the lake.  Recreational facilities on the Willamette River include rowing and kayaking as well as boating.

Residents benefit from the award winning schools, excellent public services, and facilities. The seasonal Farmers Market, located in the Millennium Plaza Park over looking Lake Bay, draws thousands of visitors each year from May to October.  Here in downtown Lake Oswego you can also find unique  shops, cafes,  bistros and restaurants to ensure that there is also something tasty close at hand.

Catch a play at the Lakewood Community theater or take a class at the Lakewood Center for the Arts.  Classes in various artistic displines are available to all age groups through out the year.  The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, a juried art show and showcase for local artists, is held every June at the center and in George Rogers Park.  On summer evenings well known entertainers ranging from Bluegrass to Jazz perform concerts at various Parks throughout the city.

Lake Oswego has grown from a summer destination for Portland residents into a handsome and well-planned city that welcomes visitors and new residents alike.
