Eastmoreland

Eastmoreland, one of Portland’s oldest neighborhoods, offers a unique combination of classic architectural design and Portland charm nestled in a quaint, neighborhood setting.

Eastmoreland offers many opportunities for those who enjoy recreational fitness and the outdoors. Eastmoreland Golf course, a public course, attracts golfers from all over the state. The 40-mile Springwater corridor, easily accessible on the south side of the neighborhood, is one of Portland’s best resources for walking, jogging, and cycling.

Just adjacent to the golf course you’ll find the nationally praised Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens, a paradise of color and fragrance during the blooming season and a wonderful retreat year-round for walking, picnicking, or feeding the ducks and geese on Crystal Springs Lake.

Eastmoreland’s neighbor to the north is Reed College, an architectural landmark gracing Portland with its striking Gothic-Tudor style. Neighborhood residents benefit from having world-class speakers, poets, and music within walking distance. Reed College hosts the famous Chamber Music Northwest festival every summer, an event that draws some of the world’s finest musicians to Portland.

The two adjoining neighborhoods to the west, Westmoreland and Sellwood, offer shopping, an antiques district, and both fine and casual dining just a short stroll from Eastmoreland.

Eastmoreland has long been recognized as one of Portland’s most livable neighborhoods, sought after both by local residents and by discerning buyers relocating from all over the country.
