Forest Heights

Located in the NW corner of Portland, the Forest Heights neighborhood is the West Hills’ premier planned community.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of large trees and green space, Forest Heights occupies 600+ acres and has more than 1,600 single family and town homes. There are at least six miles of trails and 215 acres of common area in Forest Heights.

This area isn’t called the Heights for nothing—many homes have beautiful views. Residents also love nearby amenities such as Mill Pond Park with its pond, trails and playground; top-rated Forest Park Elementary School; and a retail area located in the center of the neighborhood. The Forest Heights Village houses Starbucks, Quinn’s Prime and Vine, a drycleaner, Pizzicato, Supercuts, a gourmet bakery, and many other shops. The Forest Heights Homeowners Association takes care of all the common areas including the park and the trails. The FHHOA puts on a 4^th of July party along with many other yearly events for the neighborhood residents. Forest Heights also provides a shuttle service that allows residents to get to the Sunset Transit Center. The shuttle runs on the main drag in the neighborhood, Miller Road.

The Forest Park Elementary School is one of the finest public schools in Portland and is enthusiastically supported by volunteers and parents. It has been rated an exceptional school by the state. 94% of the children who live in Forest Heights attend the local public school. The middle school for this community is West Sylvan. The high school is Lincoln High. Both schools are among the strongest in Oregon and are also rated exceptional.

Convenient to downtown and the Sunset Corridor, the location of Forest Heights makes getting to work a breeze. The neighborhood is about 10 minutes from downtown Portland and one does not need to get on the highway in order to get to the business district of Portland.
