Powell Butte is a close-knit community in Crook County, Oregon, that was named for nearby Powell Buttes. Powell Butte post office was established in 1909. 


Powell Butte is a tiny little hub of the surrounding farms, ranches, and ranchettes and the best views in Central Oregon. This community, which is also home to the famed Brasada Ranch, is a must-see, in more ways than one.
