Redmond

The City of Redmond, Oregon, is a comfortable community that is easy to call home. It incorporated on July 6, 1910, is located on the eastern side of Oregon's Cascade Range, and refers to itself as the “heart of Central Oregon,” due to its easy access to a multitude of recreational opportunities, including mountain biking, fishing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, white-water rafting, skiing, and golf.

Redmond is a well-rounded, progressive full-service municipality and one of the fastest growing industrial and residential communities in the State of Oregon. Redmond had a population of 13,481 in 2000 and has grown to an estimated population of 25,445 residents. Thru all the growth and the economic challenges, Redmond continues to be a community of people who care about their home.

Redmond remains the hub of Central Oregon as it has Roberts Field Municipal Airport with a full range of commercial flights daily. The airport is an easy drive to Bend, Prineville, and Sisters. The Deschutes County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center is another upscale gathering place for all of Central Oregon. The Redmond Campus of Central Oregon Community College is a strong and active campus that brings upper-level education right into Redmond.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars is also the largest in all of Oregon, and of course, is located right in Redmond.
