Tumalo, a tiny berg of a town, exists only out of pure stubbornness. Who needs anything but a drive-thru coffee stand called Tumalo Perks, or a couple of restaurants, a country store or two, and one gas station when you are so close to Sisters, Bend and Redmond. 

Located on US 20 between Sisters and Bend, Tumalo is also eight miles south of Eagle Crest Resort on Cline Falls Highway. The town gets its name from the Klamath word for either "cold water" or "wild plum." In either case, it's home to one of the best, and friendliest, steakhouses in Central Oregon: the Tumalo Feed Company.
