Spiritridge

Spiritridge, conveniently located off of I-90, is a quiet, wooded neighborhood tucked away between Bellevue and Issaquah. The neighborhood of approximately 2,000 residences has a range of single-family homes, townhomes, and condos that were developed in the 1960s.

The convenience of freeway access and several amenities in the area such as Bellevue College, groceries stores, gas stations, coffee shops, and restaurants are a big draw for the people who live in this established, suburban neighborhood.

Tall trees provide Spiritridge a forested relaxing look and feel while some hillside homes have panoramic views of the Cascade Mountains and Lake Sammamish. The presence of many large evergreen trees makes the neighborhood feel like a suburban escape, yet it has office parks just beyond its borders.

The neighborhood borders on the Bellevue Trail system via Phantom Lake Walkway, which connects to the Lake Hills Greenbelt Trail. Nearby Weowna Park, an 80-acre Bellevue park with trails, a creek, and waterfalls, provides another opportunity for residents to connect with nature and adds to the peaceful atmosphere of the neighborhood.

Another favorite feature is the neighborhood pool, the Phantom Lake Bath and Tennis Club. It's a private neighborhood club with reasonable membership fees that is open from May through September. The pool has a swim, water polo, and dive team for the kids and hosts fun seasonal events. The tennis club has lessons and matches all summer long and residetnts have enjoyed movie night on the courts on warm summer nights.

On the weekends, you’ll find the residents of this neighborhood enjoying the outdoors. Their kids attend Spiritridge Elementary, Tillicum Middle School, and Sammamish High School. Once people move into this neighborhood, they are reluctant to move and many become longtime residents.
