Everett

Home to the second largest marina on the West Coast of the United States, Everett is more than just the average Washington port town. It is a large city—with all the fixings—that has maintained a neighborhood feel through its many parks and beautiful settings.

Everett is home to the largest building in the world: Boeing's assembly plant for airplanes. The cavernous superstructure must be seen to be believed. Everett also contains a US Navy Homeport, Naval Station Everett, which houses the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

Everett’s downtown area is well planned with streets Colby and Hoyt Avenues running north and south and Hewitt Avenue running east/west. All three streets are named after the city's founders: Henry Hewitt, Charles Colby, and Colgate Hoyt. Historic downtown Everett possesses a mix of buildings from the turn of the century to modern architecture; strolling the sidewalks day or night is a pleasure.

What makes Everett so special and keeps the city feeling so friendly are the variety of parks. Scattered throughout town exist 40 parks of different sizes. From137-acre Walter E. Hall Park to Forest Park with 111 acres, to Langus Riverfront Park at 96 acres, to some of the smaller parks at only 1 acre, all of these public properties possess fantastic amenities. Features include horseback riding, swimming pools, skate parks, animal farms, miles of trails, and sports fields.

Don't miss the Comcast Arena in Everett, home of the Everett Silvertips Ice Hockey Team and other premier sports events. The Everett Performing Arts Center hosts theater events all year long.

The shopping and nightlife in Everett compare to any large city. Find all the mainstays here: large malls and well-known restaurants to suit your budget and style.
