Grapeview


Grapeview, Washington, has vacation and recreational spots galore including two golf courses: Lakeland Golf Course located in nearby Allyn and Bayshore Golf Course in Shelton.

Nearly 20 miles long, Case Inlet is ideal for fishing, boating, and saltwater recreation. Lying about an hour and a half from Seattle, many areas of the Inlet feature beautiful views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains.

Treasure Island, also known as Reach Island, is located about 35 miles from Tacoma or Olympia. Enjoy sailing, fishing, swimming, shellfish, and views of Mt. Rainier. It is also a bike rider’s paradise!

Fair Harbor Marina is just down the road from Treasure Island. The Marina provides up to 350 feet of spacious guest moorage that can accommodate 120-foot boats. A public boat launch and parking are just across the road. The Marina can provide accommodations for weddings and events and it plays host to the Grapeview Water Festival and Wooden Boat Show on the last Saturday in July.

Stretch Island was named after Captain John Wilkes for a gunner’s mate, Samuel Stretch. It is home to the vineyards of Island Belle Grapes as well as the first winery and vineyard in Washington, now called The St. Charles Winery & Mosquito Fleet Museum. Stretch Point State Park is located 12 miles north of Shelton on Stretch Island and is only accessible by boat.

Stretch Island Fruit Company, established in 1976 makes fruit leathers, fruit rolls, and fruit flats.
