Hansville

Hansville is home of the Point No Point Lighthouse and Park. The Lighthouse is still in operation and is used to guide large ships around the point of the northeasterly corner of the Kitsap Peninsula. The Lighthouse is one of North Kitsap’s favorite picture taking spots.

The beach at Point No Point Waterfront Park is like no other beach in all of Kitsap County. Imagine wiggling your toes in Hawaii-like sugar sand. Fisherman would really like to keep the secret that Point No Point is an excellent fishing spot. A salmon is just a “Buzz Bomb” away! Children and adults alike are seen crawling into Driftwood Forts built by another beach buddy earlier in the day.

Eagles are found soaring along the waterway looking for their next meal. When they spread their wings, it is a sight to see. Hansville has its own Bird Estuary off the northwest side of the Peninsula. Trails lead to great bird watching spots.

Those who live in Hansville are community-minded. They have come together to create a walking trail throughout the area.

Buck Lake Park is where the Community Center is located. The Center is home to many great events, but the Great Hansville Rummage Sale is a favorite. Buck Lake is favored by those who like trout.

Rumor has it that a cabin was built along the Hansville waterfront by none other than the owner of Eddie Bauer. If Hansville is the home of a nature lover like Eddie Bauer’ top dog, perhaps it is a place you want to call home, too.
