Issaquah Highlands

"Shop, work, play" is the motto of Issaquah Highlands, an Urban Village located on the I-90 corridor just east of Seattle and Bellevue, easily accessed via the Sunset/Highlands Drive interchange in Issaquah. Issaquah Highlands was a 2010 finalist for the “America’s Community of the Year,” an award given by the National Association of Home Builders.

This community has great restaurants, a variety of businesses, 1,500 acres of parks, open space, and miles of trails. There are 17 retailers in High Street’s Retail Village, and the current plan includes approximately 280,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of commercial office space.

With 1,500 acres of parks and permanently preserved open space, there are many opportunities for an active lifestyle. The trail system connects with the popular trail network on Tiger Mountain.  Walk, hike, run, or bike on forested trails or on village sidewalks and bike paths.  Twenty-three parks offer a variety of fun. There is an amphitheater, tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic areas, sports fields, a rock climbing surface, and a two acre off-leash dog area that all combine to create recreational haven.

Issaquah, one of the fastest growing and most affluent areas in Washington, offers additional shopping and other businesses, medical facilities, the Village Theater, and restaurants. Beautiful Lake Sammamish State Park and the East Lake Sammamish Trail are nearby.

Issaquah Highlands, the most successful new community in the Northwest, is a place where you will know your neighbors and can be involved in community activities. It’s a vibrant neighborhood. You’ll see residents enjoying the parks, gathering in the restaurants, and walking their dogs.

With a variety of housing options, there is a home for everyone. There are many styles of homes, some with wonderful views, and in all price ranges.  Advanced technology is part of the Urban Village concept so the entire community is wired with fiber optics.

Other amenities include the Swedish Medical Center, which is under construction; the new centrally located Grand Ridge Elementary School; and a 7,000 square-foot community center.
