Mukilteo

Mukilteo means “good camping ground.” Mukilteo is a Puget Sound waterfront community in Snohomish County. In 2009, Mukilteo was ranked as number 10 in Money Magazine's top 100 small towns of America.

The city is home to approximately 20,000 diverse and multicultural residents. Mukilteo is a State Ferry hub that connects to the town of Clinton on Whidbey Island. Mukilteo is also a neighbor to the Boeing Company, Paine Field Regional Airport, and other major employees.

Mukilteo is home of the first-rate Mukilteo School District. Many people have moved to the area because of the quality schools. The school district serves a diverse population of approximately 14,000 students. Its students are a source of pride; they consistently score well in achievement tests and win academic honors.

One of Mukilteo’s historic landmarks is the Mukilteo Lighthouse. The light station is located on Elliott Point, which offers an accessible beach, picnic area, and boat launch. This is where the annual Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival takes place. The festival is a three-day multi-county spectacular that has been described by its vendors and artisans as one of the friendliest and best run Festivals in the State.

Mukilteo offers its citizens a wonderful place to live, work, and play in a beautiful community of the Pacific Northwest.
