Richland


Richland is one of the three cities that compromise the Tri-Cities area of Washington State. The Hanford Site of Richland is home to the country’s first nuclear reactor.

Hanford is now a major player to the local economy after making a successful transition to environment cleanup and technology. Another huge source of employment in Richland is agriculture. Local growers produce crops ranging from wheat to wine grapes.

Richland also offers an extension campus of Washington State University. There are many undergraduate and graduate programs available to students.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Richland is a wonderful place to be. There are many golf courses, parks and trails to enjoy. Being that Richland is set alongside the Columbia River there is also a number of water activities available too.
