Sahalee seems like a small town, although great shopping is a mere three miles to the south. The Sahalee golf course is known as one of the best courses in the world and residents enjoy tournaments that are held there, such as the first U.S Senior Open Championship, the 1998 PGA Championship, the 2002 World Golf Championship–NEC Invitational, and the 2010 U.S Senior Open Championship. Besides being a tremendous golf community, Sahalee is also close to terrific Lake Washington School District schools such as Blackwell Elementary, Inglewood Jr. High, and Eastlake Senior High.
Sahalee has been part of the city of Sammamish for twenty years and was named as the 12th best place to live in the United States by Money Magazine. There is a sense of security felt by the residents due to the twenty-four hour security within the community. Around the community lies a recreational haven for neighbors to enjoy mountain bike riding and lakes to kayak on. It is, without a doubt, an outdoors oasis perfect for any family.
