Timberline

Set at the north end of the Sammamish Plateau, the Timberline neighborhoods stretch from Sahalee Way and the famous Sahalee Golf Course to the western ridge of the escarpment edge, overlooking twinkling Lake Sammamish. Nine hundred lovely homes make up this residential paradise in a town that Money Magazine recently named the 12th best place to live in the country.

Timberline has everything from rambler starter homes to veritable mansions interspersed with greenbelts, picturesque ponds, and parks, as well as miles of forested trails between neighborhoods, playgrounds, gardens, and tennis courts.

Only one elementary school services this subdivision: the well-known Elizabeth Blackwell Elementary School, one of the top schools in the state. Educational cutbacks don’t affect Blackwell like most schools mostly because of significant parental involvement and the PTSA. Blackwell is often the draw for a family looking to relocate to the Eastside because of its exemplary reputation.

Like a Norman Rockwell depiction, the neighborhood of Timberline is truly unique with winding streets, home-owner pride, and friendly community events like the Easter egg hunt, summer block parties, and the Fourth of July children’s bike parade.

All you would have to do is take a family bike ride through the treed streets of Timberline or a walk on the trails with your family dog to know that the people who have chosen to live here have found something special.
