Magnolia

Magnolia is a sleepy bedroom community ten minutes from downtown Seattle, but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

Magnolia is family and kid friendly. The Magnolia Chamber of Commerce sponsors Little League, Magnolia Farmers Market, Village Sidewalk Sale, Summerfest and Juried Art Show, Magnolia Village Auto Show, Bike the Bluff, Halloween trick or treat, and the Village Holiday Open House.

During Summerfest, which coincides with Seafair and Fleet Week, Magnolia has the largest ongoing Children’s parade in Seattle. With pony rides, train rides, bouncy-bouncy "rides," puppet shows, a bandstand with many outstanding talents from hula to hard rock, a beer garden, and arts and crafts vendors, it truly is a step back in time.

Magnolia is known for beautiful homes and yards, spectacular views, baby-buggy pushing with dog in tow, bike paths, and the largest park in Seattle, Discovery Park, which is home to such wildlife as eagles, blue heron, a fox or two, and most recently a full-grown cougar.

Magnolia’s quaint "Village" is home to many good restaurants, specialty shops, garden stores, boutiques, pet grooming, and of course, all those coffee houses.

Plenty of ballparks and a rare outdoor swimming pool provide outdoor activities for residents. Magnolia Boulevard’s spectacular views of Puget Sound make for a pleasant sunset walk.

Almost all homes in Magnolia have a view. The neighborhood is surrounded by water on three sides and the Seattle skyline with Mt. Rainier in the background combine to create breathtaking views for lucky Magnolia residents.
