Wallingford


Wallingford is a very vibrant community whose residents are known to be creative, open-minded, and well educated. Located just north of downtown Seattle on the north end of Lake Union, Wallingford is centrally located and provides easy access to downtown, I-5, Highway 99, and the University of Washington.

Wallingford boasts many wonderful parks and attractions such as the Burke-Gilman bike trail, Meridian Park and Tilth Gardens, and Gasworks Park on Lake Union.

The neighborhood has a bustling urban core full of creative small businesses, restaurants, and shops that are walkable from most homes. Trophy Cupcakes & Molly Moon’s ice cream both began in Wallingford. Joule & Tilth restaurants have gained national recognition.

Families often move to Wallingford for one of the most sought-after elementary schools, John Stanford International, which features both Spanish and Japanese immersion programs. The Wallingford Boys and Girls Club is also a local favorite family-centered organization.

A very active community and chamber of commerce embrace such events as the Wednesday Farmer’s market (May – September);Monthly Art Walk; Annual Street Fair & Parade, where all can participate; and the Family 4th of July Fireworks celebration over Lake Union.
