Windermere

Located between Laurelhurst and Magnuson Park, Windermere was incorporated in 1910 and remains one of the most serene areas in Seattle.

Bike rides and leisurely walks on the wide streets yield a showcase of large estate lots with beautiful, classic homes. Windermere homes range from modest mid-range properties to impressive mansions. A few waterfront properties feature beautiful views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains.

A sense of security is found within the humble Windermere neighborhood, which is part of what makes this area so appealing. The private park creates a recreational safe-ground with tennis courts, lakefront beach, softball field, and the children’s playground. Neighborhood socializing also takes place at the yacht club and seasonal events at the park. Just walking distance from homes is the shopping district on Sand Point Way and a close commute for residents to shopping in downtown Seattle. Families send kindergarteners through fifth graders to Sand Point Elementary.

The quaint Windermere neighborhood that’s nestled within the large city makes for a pleasurable lifestyle for Windermere homeowners.
