Manito-Cannon Hill

Beautiful tree-lined streets, stunning historic parks, serene ponds, beautiful historic homes all within minutes of downtown Spokane, I-90 and any amenities you could need … this is the Manito/Cannon Hill neighborhood.

The parks, picturesque Manito and serene Cannon Hill, are rich with history. Both parks were designed in the early 1900’s with recommendations from Olmstead Brothers Urban Architects, who were most famous for their design of Central Park in New York City. Manito Park is a hub of activity on the south hill that covers 98 acres and includes both native landscape and botanical gardens. The five major garden areas are the Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, Duncan Gardens, Rose Hill, Lilac Garden and Ferris Perennial Garden. In 2007, Rose Hill was named number one in the nation by All-America Rose Selections (AARS).

The homes, generally built from the early 1900s to the 1950s, range in style from Tudor revivals to classic bungalows to ranchers and even modern Spanish colonial or Art Moderne style homes. Walk the beautiful tree-lined streets and enjoy the varying architecture.

The Manito/Cannon Hill neighborhood is located within five minutes of trendy restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, hospitals, post offices, and just about anything you need.
