Tahuya

Tahuya, beautiful Tahuya! If you’ve never heard of Tahuya before, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful, secluded communities in Western Washington.

Tahuya is a small town located in Mason County on the north side of Hood Canal and extends to Dewatto Bay. Hood Canal is a deep saltwater fjord that flows inland from the Strait of Juan de Fuca all the way to the Union River in Belfair.

Ideal for the off road enthusiast, Tahuya is home to over 23,000 acres of  Tahuya State Forest, which provides 160 acres of ORV and mountain biking trails, primitive camping, and several  lakes. Tahuya offers unlimited activities such as camping, horseback riding, boating, clamming, crabbing, fishing, shrimping, and water sports in both freshwater lakes and Hood Canal.

Tahuya has so much to offer, from the gorgeous views of the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier, and the Hood Canal to the abundance of wild life and marine life. Residents enjoy life here from the waterfront homes to several lakeside and riverside communities.

Tahuya residents are eager to welcome you. Stop by to visit one of the many parks or launch your boat at one of three public boat launch areas located on Haven, Wooten, or Tee Lake.
